Integrated Coach Transport Logistics
Intergrated Passenger Transport Logistics
Choice Tours Coaches have, since our first major event in 1995, been perfecting our transport logistics skills and expertise, with plenty of other highly significant events, of which the most recent and challenging has been the Sani2C Mountain Bike Challenge.
Considering our vast experience of both coordinating individual and group bookings, and scheduling a variety of sizes and degrees of luxury / semi-luxury buses & coaches, the integrated logistics of providing the appropriate choice of seats and luggage space (for both personal luggage and equipment), to suit the group / individual travelling, has become a specialist lore. We provide services for both the core demands and side trips, e.g. specialist groups or pre- and post event tour groups.
Making use of the best technology for both information (e.g. online bookings) and electronic aids (e.g. on-the-ground use of tablets / laptops with real time booking information and scheduling software), the support for our client has become integrated with the rest of operations.
We utilise buses / coaches and other forms of road transport from a variety of fleets around South and southern Africa and understand the need for a specific size, degree of luxury and provisions for equipment, in order to tailor-make the logistical solution for each client or event. During the event, our staff is trained at providing hands-on services at the boarding and arrival venues, and are known for thinking on their feet, solving problems immediately.
Some of our major events covered until now:
- 1995 Rugby World Cup. Choice Tours provided the demanding transport logistics for the major British broadcaster of the event.
- 2002 World Summit for Sustainable Development, Johannesburg. We coordinated transport logistics for the ‘quest for Zero defect’ Japanese delegation.
- 2010 FIFA World Cup, where we provided countrywide transport logistics for the Italian support team, as well as SONY, a major sponsor.
- 2006 – 2016 – 11 years of comprehensive Airport Transfer logistics for the famed Sani2C Mountain Bike Challenge; each year becoming a bigger and better challenge with the increase in amount of races within the event (currently 3; each starting and finishing on its own day/s).
