The Lion Park

Located in the Johannesburg outskirts, this extraordinary facility provides sanctuary for more than 80 lions, as well as a number of other large carnivore species, such as hyena, cheetah and jackal. The adult lions, including the sacred white lion, are cared for in drive- through camps and are accessible to visitors. The visitor is treated with close encounters with the baby lions, and are able to enter their cage and touch them.
The majestic Lion is the biggest of Africa’s big cats and is able to hunt prey as big as the African Buffalo. The guided Game drive through their camps provides opportunities, unequalled anywhere else, to view and photograph them at close range, and to marvel in their strength and prowess. Once through, the tour moves on to the smaller cub camps, where the baby lions can be touched and observed at arm’s length.
